Privacy Policy
Last updated: 30 June 2026
SkinsIQ is an early-access desktop app for working the CS2 Terminal. This policy explains what we collect and why. We keep it to a minimum, because most of what the app does happens on your own machine.
We are in early access and not yet operating under a registered company name. This page will be updated with our full legal entity details once that is in place.
Local-first by design
SkinsIQ runs on your own computer. Your Steam refresh token is encrypted in your OS keystore and never leaves your device. The app signs in to Steam and works the Terminal locally, acting as you. Your inventory, the offers you see, and your trades stay on your machine; we never receive them.
What we collect
Our backend holds only what runs accounts, billing, and pricing:
- Account email, so we can send your one-time sign-in codes and contact you about your account.
- Subscription status (active trial or subscription), so the app can unlock paid features.
- Payment data, handled by Stripe. We never store card details; we only see the billing status Stripe reports.
- Basic operational logs needed to run and secure the service. We never log your Steam credentials, tokens, cookies, or inventory.
What we do not collect
- Your Steam token or session cookies (encrypted on your device).
- The contents of your inventory or your individual trades.
- We do not sell your data, and this site uses no advertising or third-party tracking.
How we use your data
To authenticate you, manage your subscription, process payments through Stripe, serve market prices to the app (price data carries no personal information about you), and keep the service secure.
Who we share it with
Only with providers that process data on our behalf: Stripe for payments and billing, and an email provider for your sign-in codes. You connect your own Steam account, governed by the Steam Subscriber Agreement; SkinsIQ is not affiliated with Valve or Steam. We share with no one else except where required by law.
Data retention
We keep your account email and subscription records while you have an account, and as needed for legal or tax obligations. You can ask us to delete your account data.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including the EU/EEA under the GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export your data, and to object to certain processing. Email us to exercise any of these. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
Your Steam token is encrypted on your device and never uploaded. Account data on our backend is protected with standard security measures. We aim to collect as little as possible, so there is little to expose.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product and our legal setup evolve, including when we register a company name. We will change the date above and may note significant changes in the app or on this site.
